All we could say is Wow! Words can’t describe the size and magnitude that Chateau de Versailles entails. Gold adorns every corner of the palace, it truly is an example of the “Absolute Power” of the monarchy in France during the late 18th and 19th century. Built by Louis the XIII as a Hunting Lodge, and enlarged by Louis XIV into a palace, this magnificent structure embodies what it means to be truly royal. This homage to the Sun King still overwhelms its visitors today.
