Jeff’s Berlin Day 1 and 2!

While Bill left Berlin a few days ago, I arrived on July 3rd traveling from Tulsa to Denver then on to Frankfurt then Berlin. My bag, however, decided to remain in Frankfurt for two additional days, only joining me late Tuesday evening! I was met at Berlin Brandenburg-Willy Brandt Airport by my foreign exchange student Jeroen Nijhof and his brother Vincent. I was nice to see a familiar face after 24 hours of traveling.

After cursing the baggage handling Gods, I set off for my hotel which will host the CENTROPA Summer Academy. You will learn more about CENTROPA in the following days. A quick run to Berlin’s city center and the Reichstag, we headed to dinner and beverages.

A quick walk along the River Spree which flow through Berlin, we found a nice restaurant with a tremendous view of the city.

After being awake for more than 30 hours, I needed sleep to prepare for the next day. Without luggage, July 4th would start with a dash to the shopping area of Berlin to find some clothes to get me by.
