Washington Final Day: Tour of the town….on foot!

Our fourth and final day in the District. Up early to hit the National Archives to visit the Declaration of Independence, the US Constitution, and my personal favorite, the Magna Carta. A quick trip up to Pennsylvania Ave., and a visit the new WWI Memorial, then right across the street to the White House. Dipped our toes at the WWII Memorial, through Constitution park, then solemn viewing of both Vietnam and Korean War memorial. Visited big Abe, then decided to end our day at the United States Holocaust Museum. After a long day, we called it a wrap on DC. Up early on Sunday, we’ll pick up a rental car and head north to Gettysburg. More to come……
